The Women’s Wednesday Morning League held their “roll-off” June 10 at the Bowling Center, Eden. Each of the teams consisted of two women. The champions were Fern Roach and Nellie Odell. Runners-up were Becky Lunney and Dora Gamier. Winners of the individual trophies were: Fern Roach, high average, 148; Maxine Paschall, high set handicap, 535; Dora Gamier, high set scratch, 487; Ruth Hamm, high game handicap, James Randall Mabe James Randall Mabe, son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Mabe, celebrated his fifth birthday June 10. His maternal grandmother, Geneva Vaughn, is an in spector in the Kara- stan Setting Depart ment and his paternal grandfather, Irving Mabe, is employed with the Yard Crew at Fieldcrest. W. C. Vaughn, the maternal great grandfather, is a retiree of the Sheet ing Mill. 250; Patricia Clifton, high game scratch, 174; and Becky Lunney, most improved bowler, who increased her average by 28 pins. Shiloh Eagles Winners Of Last Three Games The Shiloh Eagles, managed by Sam Broadnax of the Bedspread Finishing Mill, won their last three games and have a season record of 12 wins and 21 losses. The Eagles in recent games downed the Madison All-Stars 7-3, Piney Fork 9-3, and Draper 5-4. They were scheduled to play Brown Summit there Saturday, June 20, and were to meet Stokesdale in a double- header Sunday, June 21, at Stokesdale. The Eagles also have scheduled a game with a Richmond, Va., team Sunday af ternoon, June 28, at the Duke Power Field, Eden.
