r?:>' K Community College Group Tours Karastan Members of the advertising and dis play class at Rockingham Community College recently made a tour of the Karastan Rug Mill where they spent most of their time in the rug showroom and the designing department. They were accompanied by the instructor, Mrs. William O. Moser, of Eden. Advertising and display is a new course for business majors at the col lege and the visit to Karastan was one of several field trips they have made to establishments in the county to ob serve operations related to their studies. The students previously had visited the Fieldcrest Store at Eden. Mrs. Moser said the visit tO' Karastan was mainly to see the showroom and designing department and that the stu dents were particularly interested in learning about trends in styling and design. Top Weavers, Fixers The Fieldale Towel Mill’s outstanding weavers and loom fixers are listed be low for the most recent periods of rec ord. The “Weavers of the Week” are those with the lowest percent of seconds with respect to the standards for the vari ous loom groups. The “Top Fixers” are determined through a combination of low seconds and high loom efficiency on their re spective sections.
