Cindy Ikner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobhy Ikner of Maxton, finally worked out what appears to have been a reasonable solution to a summertime problem. Mr. Ikner is employed in the Cut-Order Department at the Laurelcrest Service Center. June Mohler Resigns To Study For Doctorate June F. Mohler, manager of publicity and sales training in the Fieldcrest Marketing Division, New York, resigned effective September 4 to study for a Ph. D. degree in the field of education with a textile major in which she holds a master’s degree from New York Uni versity. Among the many inventive ideas she developed at Fieldcrest was the creation of a fashion promotion presented in 182 stores across the country, along with numerous special showings in mill loca tions in North Carolina, Virginia and Georgia. She has also appeared on nationally syndicated and local TV shows through out her extensive travel for Fieldcrest, and has directed all sales training pro grams and publicity activities with magazines, newspapers and other media. She was recently selected for listing in the 1969-70 directory of Foremost Women in Communications. Prior to joining Fieldcrest in 1965 JUNE F. MOHLER you’re always at the credit union Mrs. Mohler was executive director of the Sales Training Institute, an educa tion program developed for the financial community. Earlier in her career she was associ ated with the consumer service division of Bendix Home Appliances, followed by an executive position in fa.shion merchandising. Mrs. Mohler is returning for her doc toral program to the University of Maryland where she received her bac calaureate degree. Changes Announced In Blanket Operatioi The following organization chaDt have been announced in the Bla» Operation at Eden: Paul E. Jones, foreman of Wool P** ing and Carding, was appointed man of the Non-Woven Mill, repla*^ David J. Youngblood who resigned'^ Donald R. Johnson, supervisor of Blanket Mill Laboratory, was na>J foreman of Wool Picking and Caro* replacing Mr. Jones. Barry N. Strong, formerly assiS'* foreman in the Cotton Carding ^ Spinning Departments, assumed resp' sibility as foreman of the Blanket Mill. j Mr. Jones has been with Field‘d ^ most of the time since 1942 except ^ his service in the Navy during War II. He worked on various pro® tion jobs, mainly in the Wool Car® Department. He served as assistant foremso the Wool Picking and Wool Car®j, Departments and as foreman of Non-Woven Mill. He had been for®^ of Wool Picking and Carding ®' March, 1969. Mr. Johnson was first employ®*^ 1961 as a management trainee at , Karastan Spinning Mill in 'Green''j He was an assistant foreman ia ,, Spinning Department and the Car Department and later was forerns® the Carding Department. ^ He was transferred to the Bia®j Mill in 1967 as an assistant forerna®] Wool Picking and later was an assr its; foreman in Wool Carding.
