Joella Frith, four-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Frith, was a con testant in the “Little Miss Martinsville” pageant October 3. She was awarded second prize for the best cowgirl cos tume and was also one of the 10 fi nalists. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Woodman Allen. Mr. Allen is a loom fixer in the Fieldale Towel Mill and Mrs. Allen (Mary Lou) is employ ed as a warper tender. Catherine Hand Catherine Hand was two years old September 24 and celebrated her birth day with a party. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don nie Hand, of 1122 Lawson Street, Eden. Grandparents are Itaska Hand of the Bedspread Finishing Mill and Mr. and Mrs. Otis Marlowe. Mr. Marlowe is editor of The Mill Whistle and Mrs. Marlowe (Anne) is a cashier at Fieldcrest Store. Kimberly Ann Shreve Towel Mill Recognizes Top Weavers, Fixers The Fieldale Towel Mill’s outstanding weavers and loom fixers are listed be low for the most recent periods of rec ord. The “Weavers of the Week” are those with the lowest percent of seconds with respect to standards for the various loom groups. The “Top Fixers” are determined through a combination of low seconds and high loom efficiency on their re spective sections.
