It’s at the Bowling Center, Eden, each Thursday evening when 12 teams compete in the Fieldcrest Men’s Evening League. The 12 teams make up a capacity number with interest running higher than ever before. Sheeting Spinning and Blanket Warehouse are tied for the lead in the “B” division with 23-13 each. Next is the Karastan Service Center with 22-14. Other standings are Blanket Mill 15-21; Re search and Development, 15-21; and Bedspread Finishing, 7-29. Currently on top in the “A” division is the Sheet ing Mill with a 21-15 record. The runner-up is the Bedspread Mill with 20-16. Others are Industrial Engineering, 19-17; Blanket Finishing, 18-18; Karastan Shop, 17-19; and Karastan Weave, 1®'.^ g In commenting on the high interest in bowh^f this season, George Minter, league president, atu buted much of it to improvements at the Bowli*’“ Center, which is under new management. He poO’j ed out that the facilities have been upgraded a new bowling program started. Future plans to add six lanes, he said, to prevent some of the pf® sent waiting. “Things have been improved so much that iM* a pleasure to go there and bowl,” Mr. Minter say “They’ve put in a grill which starts serving brea> fast at 5:30 every morning and the grill stays op^ until the Bowling Center closes.
