Jane Reynolds, supervisor of nursing services, is in background. Free ‘Flu’ Shots Offered To Employees Free flu shots are being provided by the Company for all employees who wish to take them. The vaccine being used is the most improved available and has the advantage of producing fewer side effects. People in the older age groups and those with heart and lung diseases, di abetes or other chronic diseases are especially encouraged by the U. S. Pub lic Health Service to have these shots. In recommending the shots Dr. J. G. Springer, medical director, Fieldcrest Mills, Inc., said that “local outbreaks are always a possibility and are un predictable.” Employees of the General Offices, Sheeting Mill, Blanket Mill, Karastan Rug Mill and Bedspread Mill were giv en the shots November 15-18. Arrangements for flu shots in out lying locations and sales offices are made with local doctors and nurses with Fieldcrest supplying the vaccine. These schedules are being posted on bulletin boards in the plants and offices. The schedule for immunizations at Fieldale, Worthville, Foremost and the remaining mills in the Eden area is given below: Worthville Spinning Mill—Mill office. November 19, 1:00 p.m. to 3 p.m., and November 30, 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Blanket Finishing Mill, Blanket Ware house and Research Building — Blanket Finishing Cut and Sew Department, No vember 22, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. to 12:00 midnight. Karastan Service Center — Shipping Room Office, November 23, 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. to 12:00 mid night.
