Fieldcrest Float In Parade
Christmas flowers and pretty girls
were the dominant features of the Field-
crest Mills float in the Eden Christmas
parade held the day after Thanksgiving.

Wilbur T. Owens is general foreman
at the Worthville Spinning Mill at
Worthville. He has responsibility for
the mill’s carding, spinning, spooling,
winding and warping operations.
He joined Fieldcrest Mills, Inc., in
July, 1966, as a shift supervisor in the
Worthville Carding and Spinning De
partment. He previously was supervis
or of the Roving Department at an
Amertron plant in Raeford.
In his spare time Mr. Owens is an
avid sports fan and lists baseball as
his favorite sport. He is a native of
Saint Pauls and married the former
Mary McCraney, also of Saint Pauls.
