Wade Named Section Foreman At Karastan The promotion of David L. Wade to section foreman in the Finishing De partment at the Karastan Rug Mill has been announced by John G. Cunning ham, plant manager. Mr. Wade reports to William J. Garrett, superintendent of burling and finishing. A native of Eden, Mr. Wade joined Karastan in 1954 as a floor man in the Finishing Department. He worked on various jobs throughout the Finishing Department and the Karastan Service Center. He was a second hand at the Service Center and in the Finishing De partment before becoming a shift fore man in the Finishing Department in November, 1965. New Security Service Will Begin March 1 Gate guards in the familiar uniform of the Burns Security Services are be ing replaced effective March 1, accord ing to Rufus R. Beaver, director of se curity. Th Wackenhut Corporation of Coral Gables, Fla., will furnish security guards in a program which has been complete ly reorganized. The Central Security Office with radio and telephone communications will be operating on a 24-hour schedule, as well as a roving patrol throughout the Eden area. Wackenhut will also furnish security guards at other locations where Burns services are now being utilized. Anyone desiring to apply for a posi tion with Wackenhut should apply at the Employment Security Commission, 338 West Stadium Drive, Eden, Febru ary 22 through February 25 from: 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. In the outlying areas, applications may be submitted through the local personnel managers.
