Worthville Employee Completes 45 Years Jewel McElhannon, a warper creeler at the Worthville Spinning Mill, re cently completed 45 years of continu ous service with the Company. She was presented a diamond-and- gold 45-year emblem, a $45 gift certi ficate at the Fieldcrest Store and a letter of commendation from William C. Battle, president of Fieldcrest Mills. Mrs. McElhannon was employed June 15, 1927 as a weaver in what was then Leward Cotton Mills. After Fieldcrest acquired the Worthville plant she be came a warper creeler and worked in that classification from February 1966 until August 1968. She then worked alternately as a winder tender and spooler for several years before returning to her present job as a warper creeler. Recent Service Forty-Five Years Homer C.
