THOMAS WELLS MICHAEL CLEMMONS JOSEPH STROTHER JAMES VINCENT New Assignments Four organization changes have been announced at the I,aurelcrest Yarn Mill, Laurel Hill, effective recently. Thomas F. Wells has been named a shift foreman in the Spinning, Twisting, Winding and Reeling Department; Michael R. Clemmons has been named General Foreman of the Spin ning. Twisting, Winding and Reeling Department; Joseph M. Strother has been transferred to the Laurelcrest Yarn Mill from the Karastan Spinning Mill at H Greenville and has been ap pointed quality control super visor; and James Vincent has been transferred from Karastan Spinning and has been named a general foreman. Thomas Wells has been em ployed by Fieldcrest since September, 1970, and has worked as a quality control auditor and management trainee. He and his wife, Dorinda, have one child and reside in Hamlet. Michael Clemmons has been Promotions Announced At N. C. Finishing Co. The following promotions were announced effective July 1st by Morton D. Rochelle, president of the North Carolina Finishing Company division: John L. Seabrook, Jr. has been named superintendent of bleaching and dyeing; Glenn H. Weddington, Sr. has been named general foreman of Grey No. 1 and Bleach Departments; and John W. Roderick has been promoted to night supervisor. Three more promotions were also announced: Barry T. Byrd was named plant chemist, Larry E. Veach was promoted to supervisor of physical testing, and Lawrence C. Zeger was promoted to chemist. John L. Seabrook, Jr. is a graduate of Clemson University with a BS degree in Industrial Management. He has been with the company since 1%4 and has held the positions of management trainee, assistant foreman, chief chemist and was general foreman-Grey No. 1 and Bleach Departments prior to his promotion. He is a member of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve for six years and is a member of the Harold B. Jarrett American Legion Post. Mr. Seabrook is married to the former Joyce Randall of Salisbury. They have two children. Glenn II. Weddington, Sr. has been with the company since 1946. He is a graduate of Boyden High School and has attended Catawba College. Prior to his promotion, Mr. Weddington has held the positions of assistant foreman — Finishing, general foreman-Put Up, and night supervisor. Mr. Weddington is married to the former Jewel Cope and has three children. John W. Roderick is a 1964 graduate of North Rowan High School. He served four years in the Signal Corps of the U.S. Army, and received a BS degree in engineering operations from N.C. State University in 1972. Mr. Roderick joined NCF in September, 1972 and has been a management trainee and a shift foreman prior to his promotion. He is married to the former Margaret Beck and is the father of two sons. Barry T. Byrd has been with the company since 1969. He is a 1965 graduate of West Davidson High School. He was the first NCF recipient of a Fieldcrest Scholarship and is a 1969 graduate of N.C. State University with a BS degree in textile chemistry. He was a first lieuntenant in the U.S. Army. After his discharge in 1971, Mr. Byrd returned to NCF as a management trainee where he JOHN RODERICK BARRY BYRD LARRY E. VEACH LAWRENCE ZEGER, JR remained until this recent promotion. Larry E. Veach is a graduate of East Rowan High School and has attended Florida Southern and Trenton State Universities. Mr. Veach first joined NCF in 1960 as a production worker in the Finishing Department. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1961 where he was a procurement supervisor for eight years. He returned to NCF in 1969 as an assistant foreman, and was named shift foreman in Dye No. 1 in 1970. Mr. Veach is married to the former Glennis Mur- thwaite from Peterborouge, England. They are the parents:^ two children. Lawrence C. He and his wife, Sally have one child and reside in Laurinburg. Joseph Strother has been employed by Fieldcrest since 1969 and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He and his wife and son reside in Laurel Hill. James Vincent is a graduate of East Carolina University. He and his family live in Rockingham.
