Class President Mill Whistle Reporters
Named At Laurelcrest
Halph U'ilkerson, a rising
senior at Morehead High School,
was elected senior class presi
dent for the 1974-75 school year.
He is the first black to be elected
to a class presidency at
Morehead.
He is employed at the
Karastan Rug Mill. His sister,
Linda Wilkerson, works in the
Cut and Sew Department at the
Blanket Finishing Mill. Two
uncles, Calbert Richardson and
Lynn Cohen, Jr., are employed
at the Bedspread Mill.

STAN BARTELL
Bowling
Charles L. Moore and Stan
Bartell have been named Mill
Whistle reporters for the
Laurelcrest Service Center and
the Laurelcrest Carpet Plant,
respectively. Both men are
vending machine servicers at
the Laurel Hill plants.
Mr. Moore has been employed
by Fieldcrest since May, 1968.
He is married and resides on
Caledonia Road in Laurinburg.
Mr. Bartell has been employed
by the company since March
1968. His wife, Jeanette, is
employed in the Production
Control Department at the
Laurelcrest Carpet Plant. The
Bartells make their home in
Laurel Hill.

at Smith Mountain Lake were
Phillip Marshall, Weaving
Department, who won a trophy
for the largest bass, and Nancy
Shelton, Weaving Department,
who won two trophies, one for
the largest crappie and onefc

According to observers, thet
