The new 76,000 square-foot warehouse at Smithfield.
New Warehouse At Smithfiel
A 76,000 square-foot ware
house has been completed at the
Automatic Blanket Plant at
Smithfield.
The new facility, which was
constructed on the north side of
the Automatic Blanket plant,
measures 180 feet wide and 425
feet long.
“The new warehouse will
eliminate the necessity for the
company’s renting warehouse
space m Smithfield and Pine
level,” said T. R. Wallace, plant
manager.
“The automatic blanket
business is a highly seasonal
one, with about 60 percent of the
goods being shipped in the last
four months of the year. This
new addition should meet our
requirements for the next
several years,” he said.
Goods will be moved into the
new warehouse during

Q. Under a divorce decree,
Pm required to pay my ex-
wife’s medical and dental ex
penses. Do I deduct these as
medical expenses subject to the
limitations imposed on such de
ductions or as alimony without
any limitation?
A. In general, such
amounts qualify as alimony
and may be deducted as such
without limitation. Your ex-
wife must include the payment
in her gross income, but if she
itemizes her deductions she can
deduct the payment as a medi
cal expense.
