lest Manufacturing Facility ig i» The 425 employees now at Phenix City were all transferred from the Columbus Mill. In addition to providing increased space for finished goods storage, construction of the new plant also provided the Columbus Towel Mill with space for future expansion in the areas where the cutting and sewing operations were previously located. Goods are brought to Phenix City from the Columbus Mill daily in metal transfer boxes by truck. The towels and wash cloths are then cut, hemmed, packaged, packed, stored and shipped from there to locations throughout the country. Pictures on these two pages show some of the employees as they perform their jobs at the modern Phenix City Plant.
