I Moving Up ... ALLEN HANCOCK, JR. has been promoted to shift foreman in the Supply Room at the Blanket Finishing Mill. Prior to his recent promotion he was a working second hand-supplies and he also has been a second hand and a carpenter at that mill. He joined Fieldcrest in 1956. WINFRED K. ADAMS has been promoted to supervisory trainee at the Sheet Finishing Mill from control tester at the Blanket Greige Mill. He joined Fieldcrest in 1973 and has worked as a drawing hauler, sweeper, drawing tender, comber cleaner and machine learner at Draper Sheeting Mill. Management has honored these two employees by presenting each with a Fieldcrest 40- year service emblem, a $40 gift cert ificate for company merchandise and a letter of commendation from William C. Battle, president of Fieldcrest Mills, Inc. Nannie Hale joined the company in 1937 as a learner in the Weave Room at Draper Sheeting and in 1943 she was promoted to battery filler, a position she still holds. WILBERT STRADER Wilbert Strader began as a cloth doffer at Draper Sheeting Mill. Prior to becoming a loom fixer, his pre sent job, he was a breakdown man, humidifier man and weaver, all in the Weave Room.
