FRANK ADKINS HOWARD HYLER, JR. LILLIE ROBERTS 40 Years Of Service Three Fieldcrest employees have completed outstanding records of forty years of continuous service with the company. They have been honored by management and pre sented the 40-year emblem, a $40 gift certificate for company merchan dise and a letter of commendation from William C. Battle, president of Fieldcrest Mills, Inc. Frank Adkins joined the company in 1933 as a quill hand at the Blanket Greige MiU. In 1942 he became a weaver at that mill. Later, he took the job of jacquard weaver, a posi tion he still holds. Howard Hyler, Jr. also began work at the Blanket Greige Mill in 1933. He was a quill collector. He has held the jobs of filling carrier, weaver, instructor, loom fixer, and change fixer at that mill. For a brief period he was a spare weaver at Draper Sheeting Mill. Presently, he is head overhauler at the Blanket Greige Mill. Lillie Roberts has been at Draper Sheeting Mill since she came to work for Fieldcrest in 1933. She began as a spinner and stayed in that position until 1972 when she was a roller pick er. Later that year she returned to the spinner job, the position she now has.
