■ POUNDERS’ DAY
Thanksgiving Banquet
Thanksgiving was observed with
much formality at a banquet at
Assembly Inn, November 24. The
spacious dining room was attrac
tively and appropriately deco
rated for the occasion.Pounders’
Day was the main theme of the
evening. Dr, Caldwell opened the
program with prayer, after which
everyone sang America the Beauti
ful. Dr. Campbell, who has been
the Chairman of the Board, of Trus
tees since 1916, acted as toast
master. The Welcome was extend
ed by Sara Drew, president of
the Student Body, and was respond

of the Alumnae Association. Alum
nae, representing the c].asses

the outstanding events during
their years here and of their
appreciation of the school and
its founders.A Tribute to Founders
Virus, paid by Dr. Spencer. Dr.Ander

This description came‘from one
of America's leading men's col
leges, -'My hdeal girl is one that
is gracious., kind, neat, intelli
gent, refined, polite,' clean, and
especially thoughtful of others
and their property.’’ Does this
suggest things that you might
refrain from doing? You may
want to be someone’s ideal some
day.
