The girls of the Fcllov/ship were entertained by \Jlrs, Morton at a housewarming on the same date. Miss Watkins had as her guost on October 22, Mrs. Charles Foikes-of- NeVif York City. Many of the old girls were thrilled by tho return on Nov ember 6, of Mrs. Louis Kralnock, bettor known to them as their former teacher, Miss Mildred Brooks. The Sophomore High class was complimented at a picture show party in Black Mountain on Thanksgiving afternoon by their sponsor, Miss C.M. McElroy. SPORTS , On the chilly afternoon of November 16, the fighting Mo-, hawks attacked the rebellious Cherokees in a thrilling game of soccer. It was a most ox- • citing game, with both teams leading to victory- Pardon me, but both teams did try to win (and almost didj), the i ■ final score being 6-4 in favor of tho Mohawks, ■ r . Two days loter, spectators observed the scalping Choc taws defeat the braves of the Hlwassee tribe by a scoro of 6-0, Both teams put up a great fight. On the 22nd, the Chcrokoes and the Hiwassees fought bravely to a final score of 0-0. The Hiv/assees would not surrender.* The next day they v/crc victori ous over tho Mohawks with a score of 2-0. The two final games of the soccer tournament have not been' played yet, but will be scheduled soon. CLASS PARTIES " The Senior College Class had a ’’jubilous" time’ on, the night of October 22, when all met in tho Club Building to partake of . tho fun, laughter, and eats that accompany a class party. After the fun at the Club had boon exhausted, the class went on a scavenger hunt. : That Saturday night will live in tho memories of all the "dlgnifiGd” Seniors! G. M. : The fun had' by the College Juniors was no less than that of their Big Sisters. They met at the Gym.dressed for a Kid Partyo Little Elizabeth Hoyt .and her Nurse, Miss Elizabeth \Yoodhouso, sponsored the fes tivities.
