Nov/ that six of the most important of
fices in school have boon filled for
next year, part of the year's suspense
is nov/ over. We consider ourselves
fortunate in'ha-ving such capable girls
for next year's leaders.
As 'vve all knov; by now, Barbara Stephen-'
son was the students' choice for the
President of the .Student, Body. Having^
spent most of her life on a farm in
-Virginia, she has an easy grace and
lively wit that we love. Since there
v/crc no boys in 'bhe family, she led a
tomboy's life—fishing, hunting, read
ing, and going to football games. As
for Montreat, she likes "the scenery,
the spirit of the place, and the people
Virginia seems to be v/cll represented,

Dark-haired, v/ith bright, black . eyes,
her first love is the out-of-doors. She
confieds to us that her ambition is to
be a nursc--and to be able to play the

loves to read, and unhesitatingly tells
us that psychology has become her fa
vorite, subject. This active and eager
girl says she is proud of Montreat's
sportsmanship, he arc too, Kat,,
Red hair seems "to run in the family" —
at any rate, it docs in regard to the
SUN DIAL.- Mabel Lee bells. Editor-in-
chief of . Publications, is one of
these girls from Kentucky, Full of life
and energy, she goes about her tasks in
that efficient v/ay we all admire. This
