Santa Will Attend
Party In Person
Santa Claus is coming to Mon
treat, and not only that, but he’s
bringing “Mrs. Santa” with him!
For several days “angels” have
been hovering around in the dor
mitories. Each girl was given the
name of some other girl to whom
she was to act as an angel. Un
known to their proteges, the an
gels performed helpful tasks for
them and presented them with
such things as greetings and “eats
from home.”
On the night of December 17,
Anderson Auditorium will be the
scene of a Christmas party spon
sored by the Sophomore College
Class. At the party the “angels”
will be made known when gifts
are exchanged.
Under a large, brightly deco
rated tree will be found these
many gifts and cards, v/hich will
be presented by Mr. and Mrs.
Santa Claus.
A program of Christmas songs
will be presented by the various
music groups of the college and
the whole group will take part in
singing carols.

'DEAR SANTA CLAUS/
Montreat College
Montreat, N. C.
December 10, 1946
Dear Santa Claus,
I have been a swoet(?) little girl
this year and I thought you would
like to know what I am expecting
on the Christmas tree. Since you
brought me so much last year, I
really don’t want very much this
time. A 1947 Studebaker will be
plenty and maybe Robert Taylor
on the back seat just as a little
extra gift.
My friends heard that I was
writing you and wanted me to
give you some hints as to what
they would like to find under
their tree ....
Miss Collette just wants a
twelve pound fruitcake, 1947
Buick, and four boxes of nylons.
Miss Branche would be pleased
with a nice apartment already
furnished.
Miss Carrie Mae would like a
nice new gym with swimming
pool included. She doesn’t want
much this year.
Miss Gardner will be satisfied
with a new Buick, too. A nice
maroon one v;ith cream leather
seat covers.
Miss Wade is expecting a new
station wagon if possible. How
ever, she will be content with just
the wagon.
Anita Asher would like a nice
little dog .... led by “Carlus.”
Frances Tucker is expecting a
gold horn to call Gene home.
June Sweet doesn’t want any
thing except a red sled with “Bill”
sitting on it.
Mary Conrad isn’t very old so
she would like a doll baby.
Juanita Connell just loves jack
stones especially if Peter Lawford
is attached.
Marjorie Lyle will be satisfied
with a brunette doll(?) . . . Eddie.
Eula Godwin would like a ted
dy bear because the one she has
is so old.
Billie Boswell is expecting to
find “George” under her tree.
Julia Graham would like to
have a doll with eyes that open
and close.
Helen Loyd and Dot Hodnett
will be satisfied with a tall, blond!
Catherine Byrum doesn’t want
to be a hog so she will just expect
a 1947 Ford.
Nellie Watts is looking forward
to .seeing “Eldridge” under her
tree.
Vangie Watts will be very hap
py if she finds a certain blond
under her tree .... “D.C.”
Sara McGill would like a nice
new ear with Clark Gable driving.
Betty Whittle wants a nice lit
tle boy doll, “Pike.”
Rachel Laney would like a nice
aeroplane so she can go to Florida
on the weekends.
