Dearest Santa:
We are very happy because it’s Christ
mas. We’re thankful we can go home to
our peaceful firesides, and give gifts,
though not as great as was given us on
that first Christmas.
We wish most of all this year for a spirit
of good will to reign in the hearts of men,
and we’d like for peaee to reign on earth,
if only for a day, in honor of Him whose
birthday we celebrate.
We wish for those who are more mis-
fortunate than we, a heart full of love and
joy; and would like for all the hearts of
the world to feel as one bowed before the
manger on Christmas Eve.
