Many of Olivia’s thoughts are turned toward “Onion Technological Cemetery” but we’re sure that there are more than enough here to manage “Ye Board.” Sometimes, you see Olivia walking down a Mqntreat road with a group of Junior- age youngsters at her side; she is taking her Sunday School class on a hike or to a party. She is not only their teacher on Sunday mornings, but also their friend. Olivia has been active in many clubs and organizations on campus and has served as advertising manager and sports editor for the Dialette staff. Leta is the daughter of Mrs. B. F. Miller of the Mardi Gras City, New Orleans, Louisiana. Sopho more class, editor of the Dialette, and most worthy and inspiring assistant to the professor of biology. Leta is majoring in Bible and has made no definite plans for the future, but knows it will be exciting. When Leta first learned of her election she felt like crawling into a hole, but now that she has hit upon a theme she is very enthusiastic about the work. She feels that it is possible to serve the Lord by means of the Sun Dial and is looking forward to doing so. JANET RUTH SMITH, Editor of The Dialette Tracking down staff members, checking the social calendar, and visiting the print ers in Black Mountain next year will be Janet Ruth Smith, newly elected Dialette editor. “Woofie” is the daughter of Rev erend and Mrs. J. Hoge Smith of Darien, Georgia. The only thing that makes “Woofie” beam more than finding bargains in Asheville is her election to this office. Unlike most of her colleagues, “Woofie” refuses to drink coffee after 10 a.m. on the grounds that it keeps her awake. Janet Ruth has served as chairman of World Mission Group of the Student Christian Association, president of Life Service Group, and assistant editor of the Dialette. She is majoring in Bible and business and plans to be a church secre tary. With Janet Ruth as editor, the readers of the Dialette will know right away that ^ntreat is a Christian college. WHAT'S UP? C. Consecration Corner “Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with THANKSGIVING let your requests be made known unto God. And the Peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Phillippians 4: 6, 7. Will God, who did not spare His own Son, but sent Him into the world to die for your sin—to become sin—that you might live abundantly, withhold any good thing from you? Of course. He may not say YES to your every request in just the way you think He should. Praise Him that He doesn’t! When you “make your requests known unto God,” place your desires in His hands, you don’t have to worry about them any more. Your hopes, aims, longings are in the hands of the Almighty. The Lord who created this vast universe, this God of ages, is interested in you individually, and wants you to walk and talk with Him and to rest in the peace that He alone can give. How does Paul say you should make your requests known unto God—in prayer and supplication with THANKSGIVING. Thank God for His great love for you—this love, which, although you never seem to fully comprehend, you have felt throughout your life—guiding, blessing, protecting. Always talking with the Lord, telling Him your thoughts, your ideals, your aspirations, your desires, will put you in tune with God, and what joy and peace you will find in everyday living! Then, while you are thanking Him, could you ever complain? 22 Civic Music Concert 22 Stuart Robinson’s Square Dance Team IN BLACK MOUNTAIN IT IS The REXALL STORE “WELCOME" H & W 5 & 10 WE APPRECIATE YOUR PATRONAGE Black Mountain, N.
