Each year the student body of Montreat
College has a Christmas project. This year,
after much discussion and debate, the stu
dent body selected two projects.
With help from everyone, the patients at
the Veterans Hospital will have a Merry
Christmas. Decorations will be placed
throughout the hospital by the students of
Montreat College.
ITie second project will be handled by
each hall court who will gather food for a
basket. The Christmas baskets will be
distributed to families in this area who may
not be as fortunate as we are.
Through these projects everyone can give
as well as receive a blessing.

RabbVs Illness
Cancels Lecture
Because of illness, Rabbi Meyer H. Marx,
spiritual leader of Temple Beth El in
Knoxville, Tennessee, was unable to speak
to the Montreat student body.
The rabbi, who is presently the visiting
lecturer in Judaism in the School of Re
ligion at the University of Tennessee, was
to have spoken on “What Every Christian
Should Know About Judaism.”
It is hoped that the rabbi may be re
scheduled to speak here sometime during
the second semester.
