Co-Eds Fall To Western Carolina, 59-29 "And How Are Your Children Doing at College?" IT’S ME Yes, I know “It’s Me’’ is ungrammatical and also an inappropriate title for an ed itorial column; but the editor is away, and the inexperienced associate editor writing this column has been reminded of a story which suggested the title. Once there was a very timid little boy who was quite reluctant to participate in a program of memory verses being given at his Sunday school. Finally he agreed to say one line and was given these words to learn; “Fear not. It is I”. When the time came for him to step on the stage following the other children, he shakingly came forward and meekly voiced, “It’s me and I’m scared to death’’. Well, this is me and I’m scared to death. When the chorus went on tour, all the sophomore members of the Dialette staff were careful to go so that only we in experienced journalists were left to get out the February paper. Now you might think that there’s nothing to getting out this paper. I used to think that too. (Notice I say used to think.) Well, as you can see, even the smallest things like find ing a title for a column caused me worry, if you think making titles is easy, just pretend you are writing the editorial col umn, and then try to think of a title for it. it must, of course, have personality and dignity, such as, “Browsing with Bettye”. When I tried, I came up with, “Snooping with Susan” and “Susan’s Scribbles”. How ever, I came to feel that these were in adequate. There, “It’s Me” and I hope you enjoy this issue of the Dialette.
