The week of February 20-24 has been
set aside on the Montreat activity calendar

dition at Montreat to have such a week
w'hereby the campus can step aside from
its hurried routine and take time for the
spiritual side of life.
The students and faculty of Montreat
are honored to have the Reverend Phil

Esty has done extensive work with the stu

will be happy to talk privately with any
one who so desires.

Do you remember all those men that
were here the first week of the semester?
Well, they were Methodist people. Yes, a
whole group of Methodists on this per
fectly good Presbyterian campus. Well,

me a few of their ideas on their ideal
Christian college. Opportunities for indi
vidual spiritual development was one such
idea. Another said he thought it should
prepare one for a good Christian life. ,I
believe this last suggestion will be more
pondered upon than either of the others,
it was, NO COMPULSORY CHAPEL!!
Also in the interview a few points about
their youth groups were brought out. Their
college group, as the Presbyterian West
minister Fellowship, is called the Wesley
Foundation, and their other youth groups
are called the Methodist Youth Fellowship.
These groups have work camps, travel
