considered by members of a
panel and a participating
audience in Assembly Inn's
lobby on Friday night, Fe
bruary 19, It was a panel
discussion ef " Courtship
Concepts, " sponsored b y
Miss Hoyt's Courtship and
Marriage classes. T h e,
panel was made up of a
sociologist , Dr. Ralyh
Bridgman^ a physician. Dr.
Jesse P, Chapmanj a min
ister, Mr. Vernon Wallj and
two students, Maggie Pal
mer and Tom Simmonite, Mr,
Robert Gray acted as nar
rator and Miss Eliwabehh
Hoyt wae -onththe'ipanel as
hostess.
The discussion was re
freshingly clear - cut, to
the poin'Ji, and ■ veyy en-
I lightening. Some of the
students later commented,
"It's just what we needed.
Let's have morei" So the

On Thtjrsday, February
11, in Gaither Chapel, Phi
Theta Kappa presented a
short, formal chapel pro
gram in which they recog
nized the students who are
to become the new members.
Upon acceptance of the
invitation, these members
will be initiated into Phi
Theta Kappa at a formal
service on Tuesday, March
9, at 8:00 p. m, in the
Green Room of Assembly Inn,
The new members are; Ran
dy Carriker, Sandra Edger-
ton, Sylvia Harris, Sylvia
McAfee, Carol Nelms, and
Susan Spittle, It is in
deed a great honor to be
come a member of Phi Theta
Kappa and we would like to
say congratulations to
each one of there.

Without considering the
motive behind the assassi

look at the international
repercussion that may pos
sibly occur.
What will the soaialists
say? Will they not use
this criminal act as a
