A VISIT WITH
THE CORBETTS
It was our pleasure to
interview two lovely peo
ple of the Montreat com
munity, Mr. and Mrs.Corbett
for this issue of the pa
per. Mr. Corbett was born
in Edge Combe County, Hbrth
Carolina, and Mrs. Corbett
was born in Pamlico County,
North Carolina. It is
very interesting to note
how Mr. and Mrs. Corbett
met. They were each at
tending a wedding in Troy,
North Carolina. Mr. Corbett
was friend of the groom
and Mrs. Corbett was a
friend of the bride. Some
how they ran into each
other that afternoon and
their friendship ended as
a happy marriage.
Mrs. Corbett graduated
from Woman's College of
North Carolina and received
her Master's degree from
the University of North
Carolina. M r. Corbett
graduated from Staunton
Military Academy in Staun
ton, Virginia. He was in

Infantry,. . known as the-

Worked with the postal
service at Fort Bragg un
til he retired in November,
1956.
