Volo 2, No. 10 Montreat, North Carolina March 12, 1966 WORK TO BEGIN SOON ON NEW DORM Dr. Stafford, vice presi •- dent of Montreat-Anderson Col lege in charge of developmeni^ announced Monday that work should begin immediately on a new women's residence hall to be built near the present Col lege Halle The residence will house 1^0 women with two to a room with private baths. The building will be five stories tall and should be like a sky scraper to present structures. Also in the immediate fu ture for the physical develop ment of o u r college is the construction of a new science teaching building. We have already received a $137,000 grant from the Higher Educa tion Facilities Committee of the Federal Government and there is a desperate need for $300,000 more to erect the building. After erection a- nother $h00,000 will be needed to endow the structure, (En dowment is money invested so that the earnings from it pro vide operating expenses, thus giving the benefactors a part in the future of the building and its users.)
