The main attraction of the week will be the "graduates, " a student seminary team from Richmond. The team, which will be living in the dorms, will speak in church, voluntary chapel. Vespers, classes, at the Coffee House, and around the campus. All five team members are seniors, the three men at Union Theological Seminary and the two women at the adjoining FVesbyterian School of Christian Education. Jackie Richards is from Brevard, N. C., and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from King College in Bristol. She is especially interested in music and drama, and has worked as a Director of Christian Education in Tennessee. Jackie will be staying in M-A Hall. Doris Harwell is from Petersburg, Virginia, and received her Bachelor in Music Education from Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia. She has taught one year of school, and last year went to Brazil under the Board of World Missions. Doris will be staying in Fellowship Hall. Ben Kirkland is also from Petersburg and received his A. B. from East Carolina College in 1965. Besides being a student body officer at the Seminary, he taught English at Shikoku Christian College in Japan last year. He also has worked as an assistant in the First FVesbyterian Church in Concord. Ben will be staying in New Hall. Charles Raynal is from Statesville. N. C., and graduated from Davidson College in 1965. Both his grandfather and father are well-known FVesbyterian ministers, and there is every indication that he will follow in their footsteps. Charlie has worked as an assistant at the FVesbyterian Church in Elkin, and last year, was an exchange student at the Faculte de Theologie in Montpellier, France. Charlie will be staying in Howerton. Sam Shumate is from Bristol, Virginia, an is married to the sister of Emily Allison, who was a student at MAC the past two years. He received an A. B. Cum Laude from King College in 1964. Besides leading his class academically at the Seminary, he served a three-church field in the Abingdon FVesbytery, and was an assistant in the Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen. Sam will be staying in New Hall. Schedule of events: Sunday, November 17 The team will speak in the morning worship service Hike with the team at 2:00 p. m. (weather permitting). Meet in front of Gaither. SCA Vespers "A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Seminary!" College Hall Lobby, 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 18 The team will speak in voluntary chapel and in classes Coffee House, 9:30-12:00 p. m. - Music, discussions, fun! (at the S. U.) Tuesday, November 19 The team will speak in voluntary chapel and in classes Coffee House, 9:00 - 11:00 p. m. - S. U. COMING EVENTS by Jill Wolff Basketball season will soon be underway. Our first game is November I8th between MAC and Brevard College. soccer team will battle for a Homecoming victory. Tag football is next on the schedule beginning at 3:00 p. m. Sophomores can look forward to eating at Assembly Inn. The banquet for sophomores, faculty, and guests begins at 6:00 p.m. We haven't forgotten the freshmen as they will enjoy their own Thanksgiving feast in the cafeteria. Sunday dress is appropriate for both meals. Entertainment begins at 7:00 p. m. in the lobby of Assembly Inn. Did someone say Mandarin Cast? Tunes from the Orient will host the Homecoming semi-formal dance which will begin at 9:00 p. m. All are invited to attend tfie crowning of the Queen and these coming activities. Friday night the alumni will tackle the men in basketball. The Lutenberg Duo will provide entertainment for Sunday at the Inn December I at 3:30 p.m. December 14 will be our Christmas Dance with the Steps of Rhythm. Watch for more news concerning up-coming events. Since the aroma of that Thanksgiving meal has excited your energies, our activities board is trying desperately to stimulate the action for this occasion. November 23 marks just one of our big dances. Fall Frolic is the occasion. Sponsored by College Hall, Bourbon Street Eleat will be entertained by 'Soul Incorporated." The band hails from Columbia, South Carolina, and has recorded many top forty tunes. This casual affair will be held at Anderson Auditorium from 8 to 12 p. m. Tickets go on sale within the coming week. November 28 is the back-up for such a festive occasion. Watch out — cause here come the alumni. At 2:00 p. m. our If you are ever wandering around Gaither, between the hours of 8 and 10 at night, you may hear voices coming from the stage, but do not worry. They are the Greybeard players practicing. Who are the Greybeard Players? They are members of the drama club. When are the plays being given? December 6 and 7 upstairs in Anderson Auditorium, the three one act plays will be given.
