C. MA-Hall BY: Andrea Setzer The culprits who put MA Hall's intercom to rest are the wonderful males who dominate Montreat's campus. It seems that the trusty voice box could not take the constant banging and twisting about and so finally bleeped its final goodbye several weeks ago. Its absence is a sore reminder to all that that MA Hall has 5 Floors and there is not someone willing to ride the "speedy" elevator to call down the wanted party. From 1940 to 1960, Covington served in the U. S. Amy. His assignments in the service are varied and interesting. Covington served as military advisor to Dr. J. Layton Stewart, the U. S. Ambassador to China. He also served in the Office of Security of the Amy in Industrial Moblization, with particular responsibility for establishing priorities for the use of raw materials in converting from a peace time to a war time economy. Covington has also held many command and staff assignments. From 1960 to the present time, Covington served as Public Relations Director for the Ocean Highway Association and as Resident Director of Southern Centers, The American University, Washington, D. C. There have been three different parties out to MA Hall to try to fix the box but unfortunately they either were too busy to get anything done or they iust plain couldn't fix it. The outcome of the whole problem was the ioyous news of the arrival of a new intercom during the week of November 10-14. Since its arrival the box is to be kept under "lock and key," any male or female with sticky hands is strictly forbidden to touch the buttons Covington is a member of the National Council of Reserve Officers of the U. S. and also of the National Council of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. He is affliated with The University Club, Washington, D.C.; The Amy-Navy Country Club, Arlington, Virginia; Carolina Yacht Club, Charleston, S. and the Dunes Club, Myrtle Beach, E The c.; . C. It is hoped that now Intercom, Jr. has arrived, and all's well that ends well, there will be peace once again in the Hall of Montezuma, er...
