sports Montreat Anderson College basketball team is working very hard to conquer the stiff competition in which they have entered. This years team has joined the N.A.I.A. for the first time. The hard working team consists of: Editorial: going home....singing carols in Spanish....Open House in M. A. Hall.. ..trees to be sacraficed....new clothes....writing themes on Christmas.. a time to make up work....a time to get to know your love again....a family experience....wrapping packages.... guessing what's in them....a cease-fire to be broken.... sleeping late.... driving again....a change of scenery...hunger in India....hunger in South Carolina.... Tiny Tim's marriage on the Tonight Show, making home movies....home-cooked food.. ..reading back papers....expensive.... moving out of Belk House....mistletoe.... Peanuts on T.V....PEACE?.... But Christmas is more than that. It is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Let us not forget this as we celebrate the holidays. Let this be a time to re-new our faith in ourselves Mankind, and in God. DEAR editor Dear Editor, The recent expulsion of a fellow student, Allen Wharton, is a classic example of man giving fellow man the shaft. I hope his buddies can sleep at night. Name WitheId by request Dear Editor: I would like to take this opportunity to pose a question on our socalled convocation. Why should we have to sit and listen for forty-five minutes to something in which we have no interest whatsoever? I am referring to the Chiomni String Quartet. It seems that the older generation is trying to force something upon us that we do not want. This is one thing that makes convocation so repulsive and disliked. If our administration and leaders would get something or someone better liked by the students they might want to go to convocation. ^Ihy can't Tuesday convocation be optional when we have entertainment of this sort? I know that I am only one person and that I am expressing only one opinion but I believe if a poll was taken of all the students, between John Guest and the Chiompi Strings more students would want to listen to John Guest than the Chiomoi Strings.
