11 M.A.C. STUDENTS HONORED Eleven Montreat-Anderson students have been honored by being selected as "Who's Who Among Students In America! Colleges." Each year outstanding students are selected for this nation-wide honor. "Each nominee must be a sophomore. He or she should be qualified as to scholarship, citizenship, participation and leadership in academic and extracurricular activities, and show general promise of future usefulness to society." Udani Sarah Waller Susan White Jane Lee Wooding Edwin Udogu Montreat mayor, Andy Andrews, a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, will be featured in Convocation in Gaither Chapel Thursday morning. When asked the topic of his address, Andrews said, "It will be on (one word impact) relating to students personal contributions toward a better spirit on campus. Couples The Pocket Billiards (pool) Tournament was won by Grant Cobia, of Howerton. Grant as winner, received an expense paid trip to Charlotte to represent M.A. C. in the State Tournament. skiing COACH PARKS DEMONSTRATES FORM SALLY & CATHY HIT THE SLOPES LYNN MONTGOMERY and THOMAS DWIGHT SNEEDEN RICKY MASTERING THE "SCHNOPLOW" Skiing has recently become a part of the P. E. program on our campus. Coach Parks reports, "Around 35 students are taking the course." The class consists of six lessons given by Austrian instructors at the Beech Mountain Resort, Banner Elk. The students are paying a minimal fee of around thirty dollars, including rentals, lessons, and transportation on the Highly Reliable school bus. Bug Out To Beech! Jeff Phillips
