Student Faces Pinson plans music career byPAULWILLUMS Charles Pinson is the tall guy who saunters around campus in a big leopard print fur coat. He’s from Greertvilie, S.C. and plays basketball for Montreat-- Anderson. He says that he likes the atmosphere here at the college but dislikes the lack of student'support at activities. His main hobbies are basketball and singing. He sang in the Men’s Choir athiis High School and the choir in his Church in Greenville. An early float on the Deadl Sea began the final day of the tour. Martha Sue said,‘‘It was nice to just lay back and float.” She also noted that the areas of'vegetation around the Dead Sea prove the desert is really Mooming forth.” Final hightlights of the tri{ were a visit to the caves aftl Engedi, viewing the Jericho^ walls and the springs of Elisha. Rena Robinson said she enjoyed traveling with a small group and seeing how God directed their plans. Now that the group is home, most members agree with Dan Montgomery, ‘‘You don’t have any great spiritual feeling when you see the places where Jesus lived, but‘ the Bible is much more real and alive.” Friday, February 20, 8:00 p.m. The Louisiana Aces will be giving a concert in Gaither Chapel. 9:30 p.m.—The Apostles, featuring Mitch Hunter of Furnian University, will be appearing at the dtoffeehouse. Saturday, February 21, 9:30-1:00 a.m. The Valentine Dance and crowning of the Valentine King and Queen will be held upstairs in Anderson Auditorium. The band will be Thoughts. Wednesday, February 25, 8:00 p.m. Jerry Clower, the much sought after humorist and storyteller, will speak in Gaither Cihapel. Saturday, February 28, 9:00-12:00 p.m. The Forever Family Band from Hendersonville will be in concert at the Coffeehouse.
