Raised in Georgia on hymns tind Joni Mitchell, ;ind classically trained, Williams is adept on boQi piano ;ind guitar. She beg;m playing the club cir cuit in New York in the early 90s and tissembled a band of stellar play ers, includ ing Saturday Night Live drummer, Shawn Pel- tron. In 199.“', Willimns produced her first record on the Mercury label, Tapping the Wheel. Commenting on it.
