/ “Iron Man 2” Review Josh van Dine Over the weekend I and several other guys went to see the “Iron Man” sequel, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Don Cheadle. As a Mar vel fan, I expected much from the movie and it definitely delivered in some aspects. One of the primary things that I liked about this film was that Tony Stark is no longer the arrogant playboy that he was in the original film. In stead, we find out that he is dying from his own invention and because of it Stark starts showing his human side with his struggles with alcohol ism. ^ I In terms of action, however, the movie is not as good as I had hoped it would be. One of the things that I’ve seen in all of the recent Marvel films is that at the end of every movie there is an epic battle between the hero and the main villain, and in most cases the vil lain dies. In both the Iron Man films, how ever, the fights between the main villains (Iron Monger in the first and Whiplash in the sec ond) have lasted only 5 minutes. Good fight scenes should be longer than that! Also, Whip lash does not appear as often as the villains in other Marvel or DC films, indicating that he plays a relatively minor role in the film com pared to other Marvel villains. The only good Final Exam Schedule Spring 2010 action I saw in the film is the creation of War Machine, Iron Man’s sidekick, and the battles that War Machine and Iron Man have against and beside each other. So, compared to other Marvel films, “Iron Man 2” is a 6 out of 10 in terms of action, plot, and characters. Date Exam Time Normal Class Schedule Friday.
