OctokrSU 20U betstone JMontreat Collie’s Student ^oice What did YOU do for fall break? I went to the S.C. fair, which was awesome. It’s huge. It had two Ferris wheels and tons of food, tons of games, tons of rides. It had mini rollercoasters, everything. I also won four stuffed animals. -Ashley Dom- browski teni to the state fair d ate way too much r food. Time was also ent with family and jnds over coffee and lick-fil-a (more food!). ■Heather Carr I went on a delightfully harrowing roadtrip to Georgia and got jumpstarted by a cop after he’d pulled us over. Marta, her brother and I were in Chattanooga. We’d just gotten out of a movie, and it was 12:30 a.m. We’d driven a few blocks when a cop pulled us over: Peter [Marta’s brother] had forgotten the headlights. So we started looking for all the paperwork in the glove compartment, and it turns out that I don’t have a current insurance slip in there. So they were like “Okay, you can go, verbal warning, because you, little boy, don’t know this car and you’re college students and stuff and you’re heading home.” Then he started pulling away, and Peter tried to restart the car. It wouldn’t go. [The] battery had died in the 10 minutes we were sitting there with the lights on and the engine off. So he pulled up next to us and was just like “You’re kidding.... right?” So he pulled back around and jumpstarted us and sent us on our merry way. It was SO BAD... my POOR CAR. --Audrey Coffman I spent some time with my mom and sister, slept, made an apple crisp from scratch, and worked. It wasn’t long enough, but it was good to spend time with my fam ily. -Brianna Wil liams I went to the Lexing ton Barbecue Fes tival with my friend Lauren. We got to see Chris Cagel and Love and Theft perform. -Autumn Adams Pretty much just slept and did stuff around the house^ nothing special. [It was] pretty relaxing. —Jason Stone j4nd the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will I of God abidesforever.” | i John on page 4.
