Bruce Lail is on a tour of duty in Japan with the Navy. Mrs, Cleo Wallace visited with her sister. Miss Irene Pritchard at the Edgewood Nursing Home in Spindale on Monday. ♦ ♦ The Ranny Blantons visited with her sister, Mrs. Jane Wright on Tuesday in Kings Mountain and on Saturday ^ey visited his mother, Mrs. Lizzie Blanton in the Oak Grove Community near Kings Mountain. The Sunday evening guest of the Blantons was Miss Janice Bruce of Gardner-Webb College. Mrs. P.G. Jolley and Cerole were overnight guests Friday of her sister, Mrs, Shelia White in Greenville, S.C. Mr. and Mrs. G.O, Humphries, parents of Mrs. White and Mrs. Jolley, also visited and took Aleishia White home after she had spent a few days with them. While here they enjoyed a celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Humphries’ wedding anniversary, Mrs. Humphries’ birth day and Drew White’s birthday at Duff’s in Greenville. Mrs. Shull Whitaker celebrated a birthday anniversary on Friday and her family honored her with a dinner on Saturday at her home. Those present for the cele bration were the Joe Davison family of Shelby and the William Dellinger family of Statesville and Mr. Whitaker. The family enjoyed the birthday time together. On Sunday Mr, and Mrs, Whitaker visited with his sister Mrs. Rosby Biddix of Shelby who has been ill for several days but they report she is some improved. Chad and Brad Ivester attended a birthday party on Sunday afternoon for their cousin, Toney Ivester in Lawndale. ’ ♦ * Mr. and Mrs, Buren Hamrick, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hamrick, Mrs. Calvin Dixon, Brian De'Von of this comm unity, Mrs. Frank Harris of Ellenboro and Mrs. Paul Wylie of Shelby visited with Mr. and Mrs. Cellon Allison of Gaffney, S.C. on Sunday. ' * * The Baptist Women met on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. with Mrs. Don English, ** Mr. and Mrs. Jim' McKinney returned home Wednesday after spending a few days at Myrtle Beach, S.C. ♦ * The Trinity Community held a crime watch program on Monday night at the community building. Grady Goode, Jr. was the speaker for the program. He spoke on Junville Delinquency. Following the program, Buddy McKinney gave a report on his progress of the Sheriffs campaign. Light refreshments were served to those who attended. ♦* ' Mrs. Guy Giilespie and Mrs. Selma Harris attended a workshop at the county office building in Shelby for ^he county homemakers club on Tuesday. Mrs. Hazel Caldara of Charlotte, Mrs. Ned Fox of Flordia and Sadie Beam of Mooresboro visited Mrs. Aileen Hardin Saturday. ♦ ♦ Mr. and Mrs. Marion Scruggs visited Mr, and Mrs. Phil Toney of Bostic on Saturday night.
