The first step toward controlling your mosquitoes is to eliminate the breeding places on your property. The mosquito lavs her eggs on standing or relatively calm water. Soon the larvae hatch, and within a week grow to full size. Some mosquitoes move only a few yards from their breeding place while others travel miles. To eliminate these nearby breeding sites drain all standing water in the yard. This includes any water that may have collected in barrels, tin cans, play pools or low spots in the lawn. Also be sure to change watei in the bird bath regularly. Mr and Mrs, Raymond Jones of Beaverdam Community visited Sunday with Mrs. Broadus McGinnis. Lavonia Community by Mrs. L. B.
