Dec. 23,1982 Trinity Community By Doris Scruggs SS; . \ '*V The adult choir presented their Christmas Cantata, “Come to the Manager” on Sunday morning during the norning worship service. The Cantata was written by: Joe E. Parks and led under the direction of Richard Jolley. Ray Crowe and Miss Donna English sang solos. The church was beautifully decorated with poinsettias in the santuary and in each window of the church. During the Sunday night service a biblical drama for Christmas named “The Broken Staff” was presented by the youth of the church. Those taking part were: Richard Skinner, Amy Ed mondson, Eddie Nanney, Kristi Bridges, Keith Nanney, Gregg Goode, Kevin Nanney, Barbara Toney, Jennifer Bridges, Dawn Yount, Paul Jolley and Arthur Yount, Jr. The drama was under the direction of Mrs. Barbara Lovelace and Mrs. Anne Skinner. Mrs. Horace Humphries and Ann of Shelby along with Tony McEntire visited Mrs. Lucille Hum phries on Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Jim McKinney visited Mrs. Annie Garrison of Gastonia on Monuay. Bob Hutchins returned to his home after being a patient at Charlotte Memorial Hospital. The Callahan family gathered at the community building on Friday night for their annual Christ mas party. The following came from out of town: Mrs. Ola Jolley of Gaffney, S.C., Mr. and Mrs. Mark Jolley of Belwood, Mr. and Mrs. William Cross of Greenville, S.C. along with Jerry Moore and family of Forest City. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Carroll celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on Sunday and were also hosts for a Christmas get together for the Carroll and Henson family. Among the out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Max Henson, Mrs. Minnie Henson and Ray all of Henrietta, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Henson and son of Rutherfordton, Mrs. Pauline Henson and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Jolley of Rt. 1, Tryon, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Dill of Spindale, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Henson of Gastonia, David Henson of Kansas City, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Cline Dellinger of Belwood and Toney Carroll Curtis Mathes Holiday Savings!
