THE CADUCEUS CONDUCTED BY MISS ELIZABETH P. UZELMEIER WILL GIVE THEIR CHEER UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE “We want to stay on the job until the last boy is gone” say both Mrs. Theodocia Baldwin, in charge of the Red Cross building at the base hospital and Miss Marie Fox Wait, librarian and also stationed in the Red Cross building. “We came here to help the boys and we want to be sure that our full duty has been performed before we leave” the women adde, when, talking g to a Caduceus representative. Even more cheerful than the cozy comfort offered by the beautifully appointed Red Cross building itself is the ministry of these two women who have bended every effort to make the patients and enlisted men of the base hospital hanpy. They have planned and worked and smiled without ceasing and their efforts will never be forgotten by those who have been touched by the ministry of their service. The above picture shows the open fireplace at the west side of the building with Mis* Walt seated at the left of the cheery blaze and Mrs. Baldwin seated at the right of the grate. FAVORABLY IMPRESSED. BONES IS BONES, During the week we were favored with a most pleasant visit having as our guest Miss R. Inde Albaugh, In spector, Army School of Nursing from the Surgeon General’s office, and ex pressed herself as being most fayor- S’bly impressed With conditions here. STOP OPERATIONS. Orders have been received at the U. S. Army base hospital. Camp Greene, that operations are to be per formed only for emergency cases. The same is true of the dental department of that hospital. —— I Mlss Martha Cain, Reserve Nurse, Army Nurse Corps, has arrived for dtltY frtJm Waverly, N* Y. Recently the Inspector of the Army School of Nursing paid us a visit and Inspected the School building. Volley Ball is being attacked with the greatest enthusiasm by the nurses.
