Arrive Chicago, Big- Four Railroad 2:50 p. m.
MEALS ENROUTE
All meals enroute in both directions will be served in a Special
dining car except at stop-over points. All meals on Dining ear
and at stop-over points included.
WHILE IN CHICAGO
Party will be in charge of the American Express Company
Tour Department, from time of arrival 3:00 p. m., July 31st, to
Departure at 1:30 p. m., August 4th.
TRANSFER TO HOTEL: 3:00 p. m., Gray Line Motor Coaches
will provide for transfer of passengers and their baggage
from Railroad Station to Hotel.
HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS: All outside rooms with private
bath refrigerated running water in one of Chicago’s most
modern Hotels.
SIGHTSEEING TOUR: 4:00 p. m., Gray Line sightseeing
busses will leave Hotel for a drive through Chicago’s South
Side including the boulevards, Washington and Jackson Parks,
the Mid Way famous since the World’s Fair of 1893 and the
exclusive residential section of the South Shore District. This
sightseeing tour will terminate at the main entrance of the
Century of Progress Exposition.
ADMISSION: General admission ticket to the Century of Prog
ress provided for this and all other visits to the Century of
Progress Exposition.
DINNER: Table d’hote dinner will be provided at the “Old
Heidleberg Inn.’’
EYENING: The evening will be spent at the Exposition as
desired by the individual. Party will not be conducted as a
group.
TRANSFER TO HOTEL: Special Gray Line Busses will de
part from main entrance of the Century of Progress Ex
position for Hotel and dowm town sections every thirty (30)
minutes until midnight.
TRANSPORTATION: Each individual will be provided with
Gray Line Transfer Coupon for transportation from Centuiy
of Progress Exposition to Hotel.
THIRD DAY TUESDAY AUGUST 1.
BREAKFAST: Table d’hote breakfast will be provided at the
Hotel.
TRANSFER TO EXPOSITION: 10:00 a. m., Gray Line Motor
coaches will leave Hotel for the Century of Progress Ex
position.
ADMISSION: General admis-sion ticket to Century of Prog-
gress provided.
apTOR TOUR OF EXPOSITION: Upon arrival at Exposi-
tion, Gray Line will provide special observation buses with
g’uide-lecturer who will describe the attractions during a sight
seeings tour of the Century of Progress.
LUNCHEON AND DINNER: Table d’hote lunch and dinner
will be provided at the Vienna Cafe.
TO DOCKS: 8:00 p. m.. Gray Line Motor coaches
will leave Main entrance, Century of Progress, for Roosevelt
Line Dock, Michigan Avenue at the Bridge.
SEEING THE EXPOSITION FROM LAKE MICHIGAN: 9:00
p. m., the Steamer “Roosevelt” will leave its berth located at
Michigan Avenue Bridge and the Chicago River, for a de
lightful three hour twilight cruise on Lake Michigan.
To see the Exposition from a steamer on Lake Michigan, will
long be remembered—you will have the opportunity of wit
nessing the most elaborate illumination ever displayed.
The Lake Cruise will be a pleasant diversion, extending from
Lincoln Park on the North to Jackson Park on the South—25
miles of Chicago’s sky line—a radiant panorama.
TRANSFER TO HOTEL: After the twilight cruise, Gray Line
Motor coaches will transfer passengers from Dock to Hotel.
FOURTH DAY WEDNESDAY AUGUST 2.
BREAKFAST: Table d’hote breakfast will be provided at the
Hotel.
SIGHTSEEING TOUR: 10:00 a. m., Gray Line Sightseeing
Busses will leave Hotel for a tour of the financial and shop
ping district, Michigan Boulevard, the Gold Coast (Chicago’s
most exclusive residential section), Lincoln Park and its Many
attractions, the Navy Pier, the Art Institution, Humboldt and
Garfield Parks, with stop-overs to visit the wonderful con
servatory, a tour of exceptional interest.
This tour will terminate at the main entrance of the Century
of Progress Exposition about noon.
ADMISSION: General admission to Century of Progress Ex
position provided.
LUNCH AND DINNER: Table d’hote lunch and dinner will
be provided at “Old Heidelberg Inn.”
Afternoon and evening at tlie Exposition. Time to be ap
propriated by the individuals according to their pleasure.
TRANSFER TO HOTEL: Gray Line Busses available at main
entrance to the Century of Progross every thirty (30 ) minutes,

BREAKFAST: Table d’hote breaKtast will be provided at the
Hotel.
TRANSFER TO DOCK; 9:15 a. m., Gray Line Motor Coaches
will leave the Hotel for Roosevelt Steamship Line Peir, Mich
igan Avenue at the Bridge.
CRUISE ACROSS LAKE MICHIGAN: Lake Michigan, one of
America’s greatest bodies of water, is looked upon with much
admiration by all Chicagoans—its cooling breezes and excellent
bathing beaches make Chicago a popular summer resort.
Today, the oportnuity is yours to enjoy a full day cruise fh>m
Chicago to the resort of Michigan City Indiana.
Three hours ashore at Michigan City, where excellent bathing
may be enjoyed at the attractive park.
LUNCH AND DINNER: Lunch and dinner on the ship. Re
turn to Chicago 7:00 p. m.
TRANSFER TO HOTEL: On return from Lake trip Gray Lina
motor coaches will transfer party from Dock to Hotel.
SIXTH DAY FRIDAY AUGUST 4.
BREAKFAST: Table d’hote breakfast will be provided at the
Hotel.
SIGHTSEEING TOUR TO PACKING HOUSES: 9:30 a. m.,
Gray. Line Motor coaches will leave Hotel for tour to Packing
Town, visiting the Stock .Yards, the World’s largest packing
plants, with special courier to point out and describe the int
eresting features of this industry for which Chicago is famous.
LUNCHEON: Table d’hote lunch will be provided at the Hotel
TRANSFER TO STATION: 1:00 p. m., Gray Line Motor coaches
will leave Hotel for Big Four Railroad Passenger Station,
Michigan Avenue and twelfth Street, where party will again
board their Special Pullman cars for trip home.
Leave Chicago, Big Pour Railroad, 1:30 p. m.
Arrive Cincinnati, Big Four Railroad, 9;00 p. m.
One hour will be .spent in Cincinnati making an inspection
tour of the New Terminal Station which has just been com
pleted at a cost running into the millions. It ha.s been under
construction for more than two years and was officially open
ed at midnight April 1st.

SEVENTH DAY SATURDAY AUGUST 5.
Arrive Asheville, Southern Railway, 10:50 a. m.
Arrive Greensboro, Southern Railway, 4:30 p. m.
Arrive Durham, Southern Railway, 7:40 p. m.
Arrive Raleigh, Southern Railway, 8:20 p. m.
