The ^^Entre Nous’’
Club of Kinston
Pictured are the members of the “Enti'e
Nous” club. This club which is com
posed of young matrons of Winston, N. C.,
was organized March 2, 1948.
Its original founders have as its objec
tives to promote character building, co
operation in religious teachings and
fraternal love in the group and com
munity. The goal is to secure funds to
promote the social and economic wellfare
of underprivileged children in the com
munity.
For weeks the group was puzzled as to
the choice of a name of the said or
ganization. The final decision was reached
in the name of “Entre Nous.” (among us.)
The group agreed that the significance of
this name would carry a fraternal tie, and
would bring harmony unity, and social
relationship among the future mothers of
this vicinity.
Since that time, to meet the need of a
changing social order the club has been
very active in promoting community
activity programs; such as the “Christ
mas Seal Drive, March of Dimes,” and
Community Chest Drive, and all other
programs for the betterment of the Com
munity and general welfare at large in its
social economical, and political develop
ments.
The group has included a scolarship in
its budget for the year 1949-1950.
The club recently observed its third an
