C., as the dates for the forty-ninth Annual Convention of our or ganization. We are to be guest of Ahoskie, Rich Square, Rocky Mount, Smithfield, and Selma, witn Mrs. F. T. Newsome, Mrs. S. S. Futrell and Mrs. C. L. Simmons as the planning com mittee. Our getting together at the convention will give an oppor tunity to greet former club ladies and welcome new ones. Only through increasing our number of club members do we grow as an organization. Greeting and wel coming members will be a long remembered pleasure. Theme:—“The Roll of Organiz ed Women in a Community.” Never before in history has the future of a great nation depended more upon its women—the Amer ica of tomorrow, will be as we create it today. Come and talk about it. Federated clubs of Ahoskie, Rich Square, Rocky Mount, Smithfield and Selma will be your host at Franklinton Center, Bricks, North Carolina, about 15 miles north of Rocky Mount, on U.S. Highway 301, easily reached by bus or car. If you travel by train. Rocky Mount is your clos est point. If there are questions, direct them to the editor of the Journal. We would appreciate a line to say you will attend, for it will help us to know how to make our plans. Franklinton Center has a beau tiful campus and almost everyone can be housed there. All meals will be served on the campus, and all meetings will be held on the campus. Thursday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m. the Executive Board will be on hand for its Dinner Meeting. Federation Scholarship Fund Does Good The world is greatly in need of Prepared Youth. Comparatively few outstanding leaders are de veloped in a generation; but there are thousands of places to be fill ed by those who are competent in some degree. Are you doing your part to ward helping some worthwhile girl to attain this competency? If not, will you share in this re sponsibility by sending in your contribution to the Federation right away, in order that we may be able to continue this work which we have thus far so nobly advanced. In the past years we have had reasons to be proud of the pro gress made through the Federa tion in connection with our schol arship awards. So far, we have, with your sup port, offered awards to several young women who are doing well in our colleges.
