H. Dennis, Jr., entertained at a re ception at the President’s Resi dence. They will never know what their hospitality meant coming at the close of a day when there had been so little time to relax. Attending the Biennial Press Breakfast gave opportunity to hear discussed by press repre sentatives, “The Value of the Press and Ways in Which Club women may Best Utilize These Services’’. Two suggestions certainly made impressions; 1—Make greater use of press so that others may know about the wonderful work your club is doing; 2—give more at tention to the writing of news articles. Reese, a brief message from our National President, Dr. Rosa Gragg, various committee reports including one made by our Mrs. Esther D. Moore who was happy to give an account of the Life Memberships taken by our Federated club ladies and a re- p o r t on the progress for our Federation on the Frederick Douglas Restoration Project made by your delegate were a part of the agenda for the second general session of the convention. Being entertained at the Officer’s Club at the end of the tour was more than a pleasure. At the final session of the con vention reports from committees on budget and finance, youth con vention, auditing resolutions, etc. gave a full agenda. Before depart ing representatives joined hands, sang “God Be With You”, repeat ed the Mizpah and disbanded to meet in 1963 in Florida. You will certainly be proud of knowing that our N.C. represen tatives were given the following appointments at the Southeastern meeting: Mrs. Esther D. Moore, Chairman of Life Membership Committee and Treasurer; Mrs. T. O. Satterwhite who served as (Continued on Page 8)
