Among other facts revealed at the post meeting of the Execu tive Board of the Southeastern I learned that North Carolina’s turn for entertaining would follow that of Florida. There are possibilities that we may exchange turns with Virginia since we entertained at AsheviUe out of turn. Post Convention Tour A large number of ladies who attended the Southeastern conven tion took advantage of the tour by chartered bus and will never regret doing so. Getting an early start without breakfast found us ready on arrival at the La Grange, Ga. Club House where the club ladies of La Grange and Americus greeted us cordially and served “brunch” buffet style. There points of interest were pointed out which made our tour through AndersonviUe Nation al Cemetery more meaningful. The opportunity to visit at Warm Springs and associate with it many facts which we had known in connection with the late Franklin D. Roosevelt certainly was meaningful. First came the limited tour of the Warm Springs Foundation then the Memorial Shrine—“The Little White House.” On the picnic grounds of the latter place visited the tourists were served a most delicious picnic lunch by the federated clubs of that area. Nothing was spared in the preparation, even Georgia peaches were included. A picnic lunch at the end of the trip with Dr. and Mrs. Reece made the day complete. Thank you again for making the trip possible for me. It is my hope that the interest of our Federated club ladies will in crease so that the number at tending out of state club meet ings wiU grow. Planning a vaca tion at the time of such meetings will certainly increase the num ber. Sorrowfully we learned of the death of the father of our be loved friend and co-worker, Mrs. Alice Collins of Smithfield. The Journal extends deep sympathy.
