C. Federation of Negro Wom en’s Clubs it was voted that each president will use the “Collect of Club Women of America” to close all club meetings. It has been printed here for your con venience. COLLECT OF CLUB WOMEN OF AMERICA Keep us, O God, from pettiness; let us be large in thought, in word,, in deed. Let .us be done with fault-finding ' and leave off self-seeking. May we put away all pretense ^ and meet each other face to face without self pity and with out prejudice. May we never be hasty in judg ment and always generous. Teach us to put into action oflr better impulses, straightforweird and unafraid. Let us take time for all things, make us grow calm, serene, and gentle. Collins Financial Secretary MEETING (Continued from Page 6) of the Southeastern Convention in Florida and explained the use of the $92.81 collected for that pur-' pose. Of the eight states making up the Southeastern Region North Carolina ranked lowest in its finan cial contributions to support the objectives of the region. N. C. is as active at home, as any state, but weak in her affiliations both regionally and nationally financiM- ly. The plea is for at least five dollars from each club annually. V Special messages from many members had to be absent. Mrs. A. B. Byrd, chairman of board was absent due to illness of her husband. The President, Mrs. Spell man, presided. The hospitality of the host ladies was highly appreciated. During the dinner hour the youth group reported on their actions and the Senior group summarized their actions. Comments were made and agreed upon that will be more fully kno'wn later. — Editor.
