EDITORIAL
Why should clubs Federate?
The stren^h of more than one
club can aid in securing various
edvantages that will help in
making better citizens and the
combined efforts will be less
work and more effective. Con
tact your State Organizer. She
can be of great help to you.
See that your Federated club
is properly registered at State
convention and you will be
sure to receive the Journal
twice yearly. I appreciate your
cooperation.

“HUMAN RELATIONS”
by Dr. D. D. Moore
Satisfying our wants and
needs was the topic used by
Dr. Moore. Our strongest need
is to love and be loved. (Com
munication is one of the best
ways to show that you care.
Another need and a desire is
to do something well. A person
will respond if he thinks he is
doing well. People want to be
involved in things, give them
a chance by using them in the
organization. Learn names of
members and call them by their
names. People like to hear
their names. Learn what peo
ple react to and work on that.
The next point Dr. Moore dis
cussed' was “tensions”. To deal
with them, talk it over, don’t
hold things in. Work oH your
angry spells, don’t lock them
up. Do something for somebody
else. Make yourself available,
be helpful and encouraging. To
sum up the entire discussion:
Learn to laugh — if you laugh
quickly you are weU adjusted,
if you can’t laugh, learn to deal
with tensions when they come
your way; remember, laughter
is a good medicine.
