that Mistletoe was made into a
kissing ball, and we find them in
most all homes in America.
Force paper white narcissus and
lily-of-the-valley at any time. Take
care of all house plants, that are
Christmas gifts. They sometimes
become very dry. Between old
Christmas and the Christmas we
celebrate is a good time to plant
sweet peas.
Protect shrub and trees from re
cent snow. Prune and destroy all
broken limbs. Protect plants from
cold.
It is a season of singing the
beautiful Christmas carols. One of
the favorite carols is “Joy to the
World,” written by Isaac Watts,
the founder of English hymn writ
ing.
