When Jesus arrived at the age at which, according to Jewish law, he should become a man, it was said of him that “he increased in wis dom and in stature and in favor with God and man”. This is the ideal growth pattern for us to fol low today as two thousand years ago. Our church schools, our schools our parents, the newspapers, tele vision, radio—these are only a few of the avenues through which the young people today can increase in wisdom. It would be extremely dif ficult to resist the efforts of all of these forces that seek to change our lives, to enlarge our mental capacities. We have to learn, con sciously or unconsciously. Universal Joy in Christmas Season The universal joy of Christmas is certainly wonderful. We ring the bells when princes are born, or toll a-mournful dirge when great men pass away. Nations have their red-letter days, their carnivals and festivals but once in the year, and only once, the whole world stands still to celebrate the advent of a life Only Jesus of Nazareth claims this world-wide, undying remem brance. You cannot cu| Christmas out of the calendar, por out of the heart of the worldj—^Anon. Don't Derry Them Never deny the babies their Christmas! It is the shining seal set upon a year of happiness.
