Even so, UNC alunmae here in New Bern are still taking a vicious ribbing. We can’t go along with second guessers who now low rate the qualifications of the Carolina quint. Clobbered though they were in four of their last six games, this cor ner will never figure out how a team with so much could do so little on the home stretch. Perhaps no one in the world wanted State to win the Atlantic Coast tournament any more than Robbie Kennel. Yet, he was one of the last to learn of the Wolf- pack’s decisive win over Carolina. As you know, Robbie does the Kennel Kapers column for us, and was on the high seas when State was capturing the ACC crown.
