And you can believe us, as far as the Juniors and Seniors are concerned at New Bern High school, there weren’t many minds on books today. Think of all the homes in town that will be in complete turmoil in just a few short hours. Having a teen-ager in the household is bad enough, they say, under normal circumstances. Having a teen-ager getting ready for Junior-Senior is enough to give our parents a nerv ous breakdown. Mr. Dick Wade, manager of the Kehoe Theater, is continuing his annual custom of inviting us to be his guests at a movie following the prom. This year’s feature is “Writ ten On The Wind” and it’s in color. FOR COMPLETE REDECORATING Some of the world's fin est Wall Coverings in va rious types and textures. As usual, there are going to be various parties in town, and house- parties at Atlantic Beach. Every one is hoping for pretty weather. There are many happy occasions during one’s high school career, and for some of us the one occasion we will probably remember abovb all others is the Junior-Senior. Perhaps if we realized this .more, as the Seniors are realizing today, we would make every moment count in whatever we do.' Until tonight, try to keep your wits, and don’t get absent-minded in traffic. DOG HEAVEN - (Continued from Page 1) they who lie and wait to welcome us—with no rebuke if late. One of the greatest of all poets, Rudyard Kipling, warned against giving your heart to a dog to tear. He ignored his own advice, however, and did just that, time and time again. So, if as you say, you’re leading a dog’s life, don’t squirm in your misery and growl, “It shouldn’t happen to a dog.” It won’t happen to a dog—at least not very often in New Befn. There was only one delicacy eaten by humans that he couldq’t tolerate, and that was raw oysters. But of course, a lot of squeamish mortals feel the same way.
